I think this post should be in "New builds and planning".

But still I will help you.

MOBO: ASUS ROG Maximus XI Hero

GPU: 2080 Super to save money because the monitor is only 1080p and those two games don't need more than it.

Forget a 2080 super, all you need for 1080p is a rx 5600 xt or rtx 2060 / super

why go for the most expensive board?

If he's going for the i9 9900k might as well have the best mobo for overclocking.

2080 super if he wants max settings on for example cs go and get around 240 fps for 240Hz monitor

given hes new he isn't going to do some crazy sub zero OC.

I agree. If you only plan to play those two games you can go for a 2K USD build.

If not then this is I think no compromises build. The monitor I also put in build which is 1440p 144hz 1ms IPS and supports adaptive sync basically gsync and its a really good LG monitor.

I agree. I you only plan to play those two games you can go for a 2K USD build.

If not then this is I think no compromises build. The monitor I also put in build which is 1440p 144hz 1ms IPS and supports adaptive sync basically gsync and its a really good LG monitor.
