I have a gtx 980ti and looking for a cpu

I have a gtx 980ti and was wondering if pairing a i5 4670k over clocked to 4.5 ghz and 16gb 1866mhz ram over clocked to 2166mhz ddr3 with the rest! What do you think about that?

Get an R5 1600AF and 3000mhz 16gb RAM and also a tomohawk max atx board for best performance and future upgrading

Depends on what else you already have, and the overall budget. An i5 of that era is no problem for older or less demanding games, but may struggle a bit for latest big releases.

Main system: i9-7980XE, Asus X299 TUF mark 2, Noctua D15, Corsair Vengeance Pro 3200 3x 16GB 2R, RTX 3070, NZXT E850, GameMax Abyss, Samsung 980 Pro 2TB, Acer Predator XB241YU 24" 1440p 144Hz G-Sync + HP LP2475w 24" 1200p 60Hz wide gamut
Gaming laptop: Lenovo Legion 5, 5800H, RTX 3070, Kingston DDR4 3200C22 2x16GB 2Rx8, Kingston Fury Renegade 1TB + Crucial P1 1TB SSD, 165 Hz IPS 1080p G-Sync Compatible

Keep the i5 unless you are really having massive frame issues in the main games you play. Getting a 1600 AF today would be pricey. Motherboards are like $70, $80 CPU, and $60+ for the ram.

Well I already have the gpu and my budget is $450 aus (270us) so not much I can do but this system has everything but a gpu which should be fine as I never have had a sdd and this has two running raid 0 so I’m not exactly sure if you guys are saying it will bottle neck,

and also the market for ryzens is slim and over priced over here so once again I’m at a hult
