I have a gtx 980ti and was wondering if pairing a i5 4670k over clocked to 4.5 ghz and 16gb 1866mhz ram over clocked to 2166mhz ddr3 with the rest! What do you think about that?

Depends on what else you already have, and the overall budget. An i5 of that era is no problem for older or less demanding games, but may struggle a bit for latest big releases.

Desktop Gaming system: Asrock Z370 Pro4, i7-8086k stock, Noctua D15, Corsair Vengeance Pro RGB 3200 4x16GB, Asus Strix 1080Ti, NZXT E850 PSU, Cooler Master MasterBox 5, Optane 900p 280GB, Crucial MX200 1TB, Sandisk 960GB, Acer Predator XB241YU 1440p 144Hz G-sync

TV Gaming system: Asus X299 TUF mark 2, 7920X @ 8c8t, Noctua D15, Corsair Vengeance LPX RGB 3000 8x8GB, Gigabyte RTX 2070, Corsair HX1000i, GameMax Abyss, Samsung 970 Evo 500GB, LG OLED55B9PLA

VR system: Asus Z170I Pro Gaming, i7-6700T stock, Scythe Kozuti, Kingston Hyper-X 2666 2x8GB, Zotac 1070 FE, Corsair CX450M, Silverstone SG13, Samsung PM951 256GB, Crucial BX500 1TB, HTC Vive

Keep the i5 unless you are really having massive frame issues in the main games you play. Getting a 1600 AF today would be pricey. Motherboards are like $70, $80 CPU, and $60+ for the ram.

Well I already have the gpu and my budget is $450 aus (270us) so not much I can do but this system has everything but a gpu which should be fine as I never have had a sdd and this has two running raid 0 so I’m not exactly sure if you guys are saying it will bottle neck,

and also the market for ryzens is slim and over priced over here so once again I’m at a hult
