ASRock and AMD Compatibility

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I am not a computer geek or expert but I have a question concerning about the compatibility between an ASRock motherboard and a ryzen 7 3700x.

I want to know if the ASRock z390 xtreme4 is able to run with the ryzen 7 3700x

One thing to note about b450, the socket is the same, but b450 *sometimes* needs a bios update run ryzen 3rd gen. But you shouldn’t have any problems as most of the boards are new

z390 is an Intel board and thus will not support an AMD CPU.

What CPU do you have currently? Because if you have the Z390 chances are, you wont benifit much changing CPU.
