That feel when wasn't necessarily too interested in this video until I noticed Dave Lee had covered the Asus Zephyrus G14 in his newest video, and mentions AMD in his thumbnail.

This laptop seems kind of weirdly positioned, they already have the G15 with nearly the same specs apart from one inch bigger screen.

Actually no, that's not true either.  They've leapfrogged Intel so hard that competition remains non-existent, it's just AMD leading now instead xD

Do you think it will work with the Oculus rift S? I've been looking for a new laptop for VR but I feel unsure about the compatibility given that it only supports displayport through the thunderbolt port.

To be fair, I can understand putting the harder tech (laptops) 1 gen behind. I do agree it is hard to impossible to make a naming scheme that would communicate this to consumers though. It would be a bit like if your "Gen 3" aircraft used Gen 2 engines from cars... like, honest that it was a 3rd gen design for an aircraft, but obvs different from the car. But it's the CPU AMD are referring to, so... hard to not get confused/confuse consumers I guess. :(

I see someone already pointed it out but, yeah the TDP on the Ryzen infographic says 45W isntead of 35W.

so i just watched this video and definitely like what i see with this cpu.. i currently have an alienware area 51m i7 9700k cpu and my battery life is the only downside as most of you know even while doing everyday tasks, still looking at 2hours roughly... this isnt a problem while at home, i just stay plugged in... but onto my question.... the video addressed the fact that the ryzen 9 4900h gets 10 hours doing light everyday tasks but under 2 hours under heavy load.... im specifically interested in how much battery life does this thing get while gaming.... playing a game like fortnite, or quake, or apex, or modern warfare warzone... take your pick.... anyone have any battery life numbers while gaming?

The product page says the G14 has a 4800HS and not a 4900HS.
Dave Lee in his video has also said it has a 4800HS.

Austin Evans said its a 4900HS

Are there two versions of this? 4900HS is not specified anywhere on the product page

I'm confused. Can anybody clear this?

upgradeabilty is limited in comparison to alienware area 51m... i believe it can rock up to 24gb ram?
