How to know when there is a dynamic IP change?

Exos9

Hey guys, I'm about to set up a game server and was wondering how i could get a notification when my dynamic IP changes, and be notified of the new IP. I've tried talking to my ISP about getting a static address, and unfortunately, they only offer it in their "enterprise grade" packages, which cost at least several hundred dollars. So is there any way this could be done with a raspberry pi or through a local linux machine? Thanks!

Are you having people connect via IP or are you using a Dynamic DNS service? The latter aught to make it so it's not necessary for you to track the IP for your server.

Would second a dynamic dns setup, usually you'd run a client on your game server that would periodically update the IP<->DNS binding so it always points to that IP even if it changes.
