My drive died

Microsoft Master

Well tonight I am dealing with a tragic moment, my 500gb Western Digital drive gave up the ghost, after I turned it on after a dust cleaning, I have tried everything including clearing cmos, and attempting to get it recognized on another device, anyone know of a cheap recovery specialist, I am a teenager and don’t have a lot of money lying around, and I need this drive back desperately.

Also I did call drive savers and they said listen to the device, and I can hear a whining noise, just the device is not being recognized, and I can definitely not afford their prices.

Probably a "coil whine" from an inductor.

Inspect the pins of the drive, make sure nothing shorts them,

And drive savers exploit their customers with outrages pricing, but at least they do a good job...
