PSA: If you have audio skipping, check Nvidia settings

Just a quick PSA.  A friend who works at a company that rhymes with Hell mentioned that he has observed Nvidia's driver updates changing the Power Management Mode (in Nvidia's Control Panel) to Optimal power, which in turn can sometimes cause other issues such as audio skipping.  You could try changing this power mode to Adaptive and see if it resolves the issue.  Confirmed this happening with a PCIE sound card, so it might have something to do with fluctuating power.

 

This is of course assuming you have an Nvidia GPU in your system.
