AliExpress shipping were stopped, prices of PC parts on online stores keep increasing every 24 hour, and the PC store near my house has a few APUs and some a320 mobos and the sad thing is I can't even go there cuz their is a lockdown in the city (country actually) cuz of Covid 19,

Is using this PC setup for gaming a shame? (or am I a member of PCMR?)

• CPU: core i3 3210 3.2 GHz
• GPU: Intel hd 2500
• RAM: 4gbx1 1333mhz
• Mobo: some random h61 Mobo by a brand called Mercury
• Storage-120 gb ssd and a 500gb hdd
• PSU: some random non certified 250 watt smps by iball
• Case: a $10 case from a brand called zebion
• A cheap Logitech keyboard
• A cheap mouse from a brand named lapcare
• A 1333x768 monitor from AOC

I have much respect for it, and I played some games like

• NFS most wanted (2005)-the first game I played on it.
• GTA 3,Vice City,San Andreas.
• Burnout Paradise (2008)
• NFS hot pursuit(2010),most wanted(2012)- even tho some guys here told me it won't run but they ran at the lowest resolution and at playable fps
• Untitled goose game
• PUBG and COD mobile(using tencent gaming buddy)
• Meteorite 60 seconds.
• Etc

 

It's only shameful/embarassing to own a weak PC if you are insisting that game developers nerf their games so they can work on your 5+ year old system, that lacks a reasonable GPU. 

 

If what you want to play works fine, then don't worry about it, but generally what you have probably shouldn't be playing games newer than 2010.

If your rig can play the game that you enjoy and want to play whether it's low or high settings then who cares? If you're not able to play a game because your PC can't handle it, then just get the recommended requirements for cheaper than the top of the line parts.

 

I think of computers similar to basketball shoes and cars. You could be an average player with Air Jordans and still get schooled by a better player even if they wear the cheap Converse Allstars. You could be a regular rich person driving a Bugatti, but I'll guarantee you that a professional street racer in a much lower priced Nissan Skyline will bet that person. My system is 8 years old but I was still able to hang in Apex Legends on low setting surprisingly. And I used Pathfinder out of all the characters.I usually play older games like Team Fortress 2 or Star Wars KOTOR so I do not need the latest and greatest anyway.

As long as your enjoying yourself your good. I'm 35 and finally got a 'good PC' a couple months ago. It will come eventually. You'll appreciate it more when you finally get it.

while I have a newly rebuilt rig I didn't go waste money on the newest fastest parts.

I've got 4 core 2 duo and quad systems sitting around that get used (i actually need more DDR2 and PSUs for 3 boards with core 2 quads).

It kinda seems like you want pity for various reasons. There's no shame in having a lower-end PC. I rocked a fucking Athlon X4 950 for a good few months and no one cared. No one's gonna care if your PC isn't high end or if it's older.

No, there's nothing wrong with having a low-end computer, most of us have been there and rocked them for all they're worth. I'm not a LowSpecGamer or RandomGaminginHD level enthusiast when it comes to using old hardware, but there's actually some enjoyment in there. Also, there's a lot of fun to be had playing older and indy-type games that don't require much horsepower. Quake 3 and Half-Life will run on potato integrated graphics and single-core processors from years ago, still fun.

When I moved out I was dirt broke for a solid 3 or 4 years and played a singular game on a ten year old laptop that I won at Comcast event.
 

don’t be ashamed, at least you have a pc, most people don’t. More of a first world problem.

 

it also makes it better when you get to the point where you can get better hardware, going from 30fps to 144 blew my mind.

while i certainly can't play anything even mildly intensive on it, because of crap thermals and low storage, and i'd like something better to use, i'm not ashamed of it.

Actually I wanted to play a game plants vs zombies garden warfare 2,by which I was amazed cuz I never ever saw such high level HD and colorful graphics, I actually never knew that there are games with such graphics cuz I then(2016- 3 years after my dad bought the pc) had went online for the first time ever as my dad got a broadband connection for his work, then I knew what was gaming, I watched gameplay videos on YouTube, I learned what were gaming consoles, I was amazed by Nintendo (I actually get amazed by anything colorful and hd).then I came across a site named systemrequirementslab after that I came to know about PC building
