are you aware that you dont need AMD gpu to use freesync?

Not all Freesync monitors will work trouble free with an Nvidia gpu. You are better to get one that is certified.

its Vesa adaptive sync. so if it doesnt work with Nvidia, its likely you would also have trouble with an AMD card. on most you probably have to activate it manually tho.

those freesync monitors mostly dont work trouble free on amd either

Pretty sure you can still have issues such as flickering with a non certified screen if using an Nvidia gpu on a Freesync monitor. Correct me if I am wrong though :)

yeah you can, but according to testing done by Nvidia, they found the same issues when doublechecking with AMD cards. 

 

meaning it was more an inherent issue with the monitor. there are also a lot of requirements monitors trip on and end up not getting the certification. 

 

you can most of the time be worry free when it comes to buying freesync monitors. low end market can be a bit messy tho.
