Price range?  My idea of affordable and sensible is probably a bit different from yours.

Wired or wireless?

I can already tell you to stay the hell away from the Corsair VOID series and the Logitech G633/G635/G933/G935.

need more info. Affordable for me might be $200-$300, affordable for you may be like $100-$200 or even less.

Personally I use the ATH MX50 Bluetooth (I do not use the Bluetooth feature) with a yeti mic. Its better sound and mic quality then any headset I have ever used. Plus with the yeti the mic can be far AF away and still only pick your up your voice if you set it up right. My setup was like $250 for the headphones and about $150 for the mic.

Otherwise in the past I used the logi g633 Artemis spectrum wireless and it was pretty good for the price, I have zero issues with it for like 2 years. I just wanted separate headphone/mic setup. IM not a fan of headsets. I think they are around $150 new.

My price range is about £30-£150 but I would say I want a decent one at around £60. Depends if it is good or not to my specs.

Just curious, how big are your ears?  If you have bigger ears, I'd stay away from the Steelseries headsets.  I have bigger ears, and while my Arctis 7 wireless headsets causes me pain after even 30 minutes (I literally have to wear a beanie under them to wear them for any extended time), I can wear my wife's HS60's as long as I please with no issues.  Those are the only two I have tried on that list, though, so I can't comment personally on any of the others.

My ears are 1.5 inches in diameter and 2 inches in height roughly.

Haha, well I wasn't expecting you to literally measure your ears, but since you did, for comparison, my ears are about 1.5" wide and 2.5" tall.

🤣 alright so my ears are same in diameter but only 0.5" off in height. So I should not go for the Steelseries then.

I use a Corsair HS60, and I find it perfect.  I do some work at home and need to use a VoIP softphone, and I use these on my computer.  Very comfortable, and the microphone is good enough (Not great, but a little better than a telephone, which to me at least is more than fine).

The drivers in the speakers themselves are a bit biased towards bass and it is very punchy, but it's not a flat EQ.  So if you like bass, these are perfect, but if you come from something like an AKG, you'll find it far from a flat EQ.

Ok lemme have a think. Thx.

But it does look nice with that RGB lighting. May think about the G635, the wired version because I always forget to charge stuff.

I owned a Void Wireless. The sound quality was fine (though it uses iCUE if you want to adjust settings and enable Dolby 7.1 but that isn't even worth it) but the mic was absolute crap. Also, the headset itself was somewhat flimsy. I think if you have a bigger head then that won't be a problem, though.

Replaced my old Razer Krakens (which I did not like at all) with a pair of HyperX Cloud II's, much better. I find them reasonably comfortable, and the mic is pretty good too. Only complain is the inline controls (volume) are kinda crap, so I just don't use them.

Ok so HyperX Cloud II's may be on my list, thx for suggesting! Btw are all the Razer Krakens that bad to use? What type of Kraken was it because there are lots of different sub-varients.

So do I.  I tried the VOIDs on at Best Buy once and they refused to stay on my head.

Then I tried on the Corsair HS70 and bought it.  Great wireless headset with good battery life, good sound, and unmatched build quality for the price point, but the Corsair iCUE program that must run in the background for Corsair headsets to function will suck all the battery life out of a laptop like a vampire.  Thus, any Corsair headset is only suitable for desktop gamers.

To fix this problem, I bought an open box HyperX Cloud Stinger wireless which only needs a driver to work (so no battery feasting).  I would ABSOLUTELY recommend the HyperX Cloud Flight over it, but it's still a decent headset.
