Connection not private

So i came across a quite frustrating problem. when i access a shorten google forum url the browser keep showing me my connection is not private. I check my browser ssl certificates and my connection, my ssl is up to date and my connection is private. I still cannot load into the google forum. So, i tried to use url finder to find the correct url. It works when i type in the complete url not the shorten one WHY ????? Can someone help me solve this bullcrap.
