Streaming issue.

Mikeybx

I'm having issues with some games being choppy, and framey while streaming games like Fortnite. I use Streamlabs OBS. I know my hardware is good enough to handle it, I've streamed it before with no issues but this time around I can't figure out the fix, I have friends with lesser PCs that don't have this problem. Ive read every forum and watched every video.

I have i7 8700k OCd to 4.5, 1080ti and 32GB of Gskill tridentz DDR4. My last speed test I had 11 ping, 432 download and 982 Upload so I know my internet is not the problem. Hardwired of course.

I'm streaming at 144fps, both my main monitor and monitor with streamlabs are 144fps. I know that was some weird bug they had.

Base canvas: 1920x1080

Output scale: 1280x720

Downscale filter: Lanczos

Common FPS value : 30 or 60

Enforce streaming service encoder is checked.

Rate Control: CBR

Bitrate: 5 or 6000

Profile: Max quality

Profile: high

Psycho Visual tuning checked.

OBS doesn't tell me my frames are dropping and my fps always sit at 144 but you can easily visually see the game is choppy like its under 60fps. Regardless of my in game settings this happens. I hide the preview, go into performance mode but it doesn't change anything. Any help?

I'm having the same issue atm, been through OBS, Streamlabs OBS and X-Split.

Stream looks fine but the game is choppy while fps is fine.

Yes, I have 3. 2 144hz monitors and one 60hz. All 1080p

I have tried keeping OBS on the same monitor and on a monitor of equal refresh rate and res.

My issue went away after i used the capture software in the background on my main monitor.

Never used to be an issue but after 3 different softwares i've came to the conclusion it must be a Windows thing, possibly after an update.

Hope you get it sorted fella!
