Sound system switching from 5.1 to 2.1

Jaax13

Hello :) I have finally gotten around to use my new sound system Concept E450 Digital from Teufel. The issue i keep having is that it sometimes it drops from 5.1 to 2.1. I have no idea what causes this. I connected the speakers twice since i thought it was an issue with the wiring, however when i use them with my phone via Bluetooth, it does not seem to have this issue, only when they are connected to my desktop.  The audio software is up to date, so i dont know if that would be the issue. I am not exactly good when it comes to tech and hardware so any help would be appreciated regarding my issue.

Thank you very much!

Yes it is set to 5.1

There is a part i found in the manual which says: 'If you have set the output to 5.1CH, but the input signal consists of fewer channels, the Concept E 450 will generate an upmix and emit sound in PRO LOGIC ll'.

When the sound drops, the PRO LOGIC ll light on the display goes dark. I am sorry if i did not explain the issue well but i am unsure on what is happening with the speakers.

I listened to a lot of music from youtube the last 2 days. Yesterday they were working perfectly almost the entire day, however the issue came back this morning. It also happens when i played a game which counts as local content?

as far as i know, most youtube content is just stereo or fake surround. if it has real surround then only at 1080p or higher quality.

games count as local content if audio is setup correctly.

try netflix content if you can with the win10 netflix app.

The sound drops during a video and then comes back 5 seconds later or 3 minutes later. It happened during a 1 hour youtube mix to drop and come back a dozen times. I doubt that youtube is the issue.
