Why does my flashdrive suddenly decrease performance when copying?

this is a sandisk 3.0 32gb flash drive. I don't remember having the issue back. it just suddenly happen. even just 2gb takes about 10mins to copy. what could be the problem? it does not happen before.. thanks

This drive probably has some RAM on it, that runs out at some point, which is when you will see the lower performance.

Or it's because it's more full than it was before

I assume this is one large file? Because if it's a ton of small files, I recommend packing them in a .zip and then copying it over. Copying a whole bunch of tiny files usually take a lot longer, than all in one large(r) file.

Could be queue depth, could be the sustained performance of the drive, or it could be the USB driver for your computer.

this is just a folder with 1 mp4 and 1 jpg file.. a 2gb mp4 file.. back then i don't have this issue. i even tried plugging the flashdrive directly to the motherboard...
