Do you guys name your builds?

Do you guys name your builds and how do you decide on the name?

My first (personal, fully custom) build is called Carl. It's Carl because the theme color of the build is blue and blue in Latin is "caeruleum" and that just reminded me of Carl, I've also really loved that name since I watched Llamas with hats. :D

What are you guys' names and stories?

I do, yes, I name my servers as well :P

Servers and PCs are named after various Greek Titans.

Goliath - (Retired) Main computer

Hyperion - (Current) Main computer

Orion - Main server

Rhea/Themis - Raspberry Pi servers

Phoebe - Logzilla server

Coeus - Automation server

All my networking gear is Skynet-something. Main switch is Skynet Core for example.

Oh, I forgot, my main NAS is called dead_pool, and yes the main pool is called Dead. My second NAS is just called BackupNAS, for obvious reasons :D

My wifi networks are named though, because, well you can find them by their SSID then :D  1 is called OrIoN, as I've always loved the tales, and because he's a giant ass hunter (who wouldn't love that!), and I love the constellation too. And the other wifi is called Hooli, after the company in Silicon Valley TV show... mostly because I loved the ironic nature of their company.

I've never been good with naming, so I've never bothered to name my PC. Hell, I can never think of a good hostname whenever I install a Linux distro or Windows (I usually just go with the distro name or something boring like "<firstname>-laptop")

Desktop PC - Xeon E3 1231 V3, MSI Z97 PC Mate, 16GB RAM, PowerColor R9 390

OS - Fedora 32 (Desktop PC), elementaryOS (laptop)

I called my PC: The Meowster. Yes, that is where my profile name is from. I called it that because my cat is called that and the cat is very fast and therefore, that is why my PC is called Meowster. Its fast

Make sure to quote me @Meowster  so that I see your reply

I love my job, being a sysadmin. It's very fun

I read it as "Do you guys name your birbs?"

*DEEP BREATHING*

I need help.

On Topic: I currently use a laptop, I don't name that. Once I get my PC build up and running, I might name it then. Sort like like christening a ship. Except, without the messy champagne and broken glass(es).
