20 times cheaper than mine

Damn thats crazy cheap. Even industry power costs 15,6 cents here (2 million - 20 million kwh yearly consumption).

In Oregon we get about 9.8¢/kWh, but that is mainly because of the dams on the Columbia River (we also have a lot of solar and wind). It's the reason Google put a new server center in The Dalles a few miles away from The Dalles Dam. 70% of our power is renewable (though dams are controversial).

I had been battling this with my Vega56 Nitro+ LE even when I underclocked it to reference speeds and ran reference voltages on it! I re-re-installed my drivers to reset any tweaking I'd done to the PPT or anything else. The only change I've made is to the fan curves to keep it cooler, it was still failing out WU's! Even fahbench was failing out at reference speeds. I'm not sure what's happening, it's 100% stable in 3D and Luxmark.

My guess is in the rush to release more WUs they could have released a bad batch

I hope so, the alternative is that I have very specifically faulty hardware which would be very annoying.

But doesn't everyone use computers as heaters? :D

I'm currently folding with GTX 760 and GTX 660 (and GT 640 & 430)

I do right now :).

Most powerful thing I have right now is a HD7950 with a 6600K @ 4.4 GHz.

The two 760's would go in and probably triple my PPD.

been getting decent amount of work orders for my gpu, haven't got more than a hand full of cpu work units for my 3900x and 3950x though. I tried dropping my ram tuning and changing the available cores around without much luck. Unfortunate to not be leveraging 28 cpu cores minus the 2 cores worth of threads I set aside to feed the single gpu each

You can try setting up BOINC and working on Rosetta@home when the CPU is idle and waiting for F@H work. Rosetta@home is working on COVID as well

that's caused by a known bug with Chromium w.r.t. the localStorage element.

if you use IE it'll be ok.

some have had luck running in Incognito mode too (since that disables localStorage element).

You'll have the same proble with Edge as I understand it, it is using Chromium Engine.

Just sharing to help protect everyone, it'll give those who have nothing better to do while waiting for a WU. There is also Fold.it if you feel like a challenge.

Also my system is mainly idle :( one CPU 1 GPU on my 640... Just added my 6600k and it's getting a new WU (First time in a long time being added, only 2 threads of the 4 possible).

I had a very similar problem. I usually have 1130mhz (from the stock 1000) on the core on my 390 with no change in voltage. This has prooven to be a rocksolid oc in many games and benchmarks. Mind you, those frequencies were working fine 2/3 days ago. My guess is that some WU are more sensitive to clock change then others or what @GOTSpectrum said.

To get it working, I had to dial down to 1050. Funny enough, the memory doesn't seem to care as much.

If you get an error similar to this one, that's the issue

01:37:27:WU00:FS01:0x22:Following exception occured: Particle coordinate is nan

Make sure you stop all the folding and close the client between each frequency change

Well I mean I dialed it back to reference speeds at the same 1.2V, from 1590 to 1470. At that time I was using fahbench to check stability and it would fail out very fast on one kind of work, took 30 minutes to fail out on the 2nd kind, and didn't get to testing the 3rd kind of WU that fahbench uses. So then I moved on to checking with LuxMark running several bench marks and letting it run on a stress test. I think I need something like prime95 but for opencl to check this card out better.

I did however not think to close and re-open the client between changes when I first came up against the problem. I'm still waiting on some CPU work, I need to install my new heat sink tomorrow evening and go back at it.
