RTX2070 Super Hybrid runs at 51-52C 😁

CPU is at 51C as well but it's not doing anything other than feeding the GPU (Athlon II x64 2.8GHz)

My 2700x is running at 3.6GHz:

Tdie:         +71.1°C  (high = +70.0°C)
Tctl:         +81.1°C

but there's no GPU in that system.

Been running my 2070 Super 24/7 still having some trouble getting all that many WU's so I'm sitting at 3.1M points.

Had to take my CPU offline since F@H has uncovered something terribly wrong with my cooling on my 3900X. 95C at 3.9 GHz. Not like it is really throttling but 95C scares me in a sustained load. Waiting for some thermal paste to arrive so I can try to remount my be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 4.

2070s, stock, at between 63-68 deg C, depending on the WU (it's Autumn here).

Alright nice.  Glad to see so many people keeping their hardware happy.

So I'm "within average" on GPU for both.  Turns out to have been a really good idea to repaste the 1070 FE card.  Temps dropped by like 10-13C which made me happy.

The 1700 is using the "ooh shiny!" cooler AMD put out for their R7 3xxx CPUs and that thing barely gets above 50. GPU just under 70 with a 1:1 fan curve.

The 3700x is running a fairly warm 80-82C in this cramped case along with 70-72 on the triple-fan 1070.  Only a AIO would possibly get that CPU cooler.  Just no space. If I let the CPU run full stock it would get over 90...

i have  the coolermaster h500p mesh which is high airflow case. mounted on the front of the case in a push pull config  is 2 140mm nzxt static pressure fans the radiator and 2 200mm fans.In conjunction i have a nzxt kracken x62 cooliing the cpu. all that with an aggressive fan curve gives me nice steady temps allowing me to keep chugging  i honesty cant recommended the kracken series enough they are beastly coolers. even with an 4.1ghz  oc my ryzen 2700x sits at a 65C temp under full load with a fairly silent fan curve set.

I've got a Red Devil 5700XT and I'm getting around 72C/87C junction peak. I get around 1.2m PPD as well, I've seen people wondering about that since the sample size on the google doc is 1.

Mines running at 70/84C but as it is the lower card in a two-card system I've set the fan to 50% I'm seeing 970,000-1.080,000 on that card so far on Linux

Man down... The fans completely seized and the fans blades shattered.

Sigh.

That sucks.

I'm in discussions with EVGA. The 2080 Super Black Gaming I bought worked just fine. Then I went and put a Hybrid kit on it and it worked fine on that. So I moved the Hybrid kit to a 2070 Super and the 2080 started acting up with the stock cooler on it and then died.

I discovered after the fact that the card did not come with mylar washers under the GPU mount spring tension screws and the springs cut through the solder mask underneath one screw and appear to have shorted out some traces.

They are claiming the warranty is void because I put their Hybrid kit on it.

My argument is I followed their instructions for installation and in reverse for removal of the Hybrid kit.

Grr.

Had my 2700x system start locking up randomly last night. Updated the BIOS on it and did a fresh install which I suspect will fix things. Likely my all-core overclock had become unstable but that's off it now so we'll see.

My issue with an AIO is I'm limited to 120mm or maybe a tightly packed 140mm tops due to the case I'm using.  Not sure what AIO to get honestly with performance and reliability.  I can get a couple Noctua A12x25 PWM fans for performance and noise and I think they come with 140mm adapters?  I forget.  Got a recommendation?

Does anyone know what could be causing these dips in GPU Usage?  They happen about 2/minute.  At first, I thought it might be thermal throttling, so I changed the fan profile to a higher curve...but it's still happening..

Radeon 5700xt.  The only thing running on this machine is f@h... the 2 dips after that were probably me starting up snipping tool in windows and capturing the graph...

Actually, I do not think that those 2 dips are for checkpoint as other suggested. It's actually happening between frames on some AMD cards (I'd check TPF in your Advanced Client as I am 99% sure it will be around 2 minutes just like your dips ;).

Spot on!  TPF is at 1 min 24 sec.  saw 1 dip, started stopwatch and the next dip happened right around 1 min 27 sec (probably b/c I had stopwatch and other stuff running at the same time).

Thanks!

Aww... I guess I'll go back to stock on the rx5700xt... Gaining 200Mhz (1900 -> 2100)  isn't worth losing an entire WU.  This is the first time it's happened since I started folding, though... but better safe than sorry.  Anybody else have any experience with Radeon 5700xt running overclocked for f@h?

Are you using that gpu inside a sealed off oven? 90C for a 2070 is hot af. Mine folds at 55-60, depending on the WU, overclocked.

I have a 2080 in an ITX case, with a blower cooler set at 60% fan speed and it doesn't go above about 76C when folding.

Gaming overclocked to 2Ghz gives it a workout at about 84C 100% fan speed (noisy af).

Even if I leave the fan on auto which never goes above about 60% (presumably as the noise level gets annoying past this point), it thermal throttles down at around 86C, how would you even hit 90C?

Hi! New to forum.  I got directed here by Linus' F@H video, and looks like im late to the party.  Still folding anyways and currently chugging along at 790K PPD and 920K PPD on two machines.  Soon to have a third machine up and running.  Cheers!
