Go to solution Solved by GOTSpectrum,

This event has ended and I recommend you guys head over to the Folding Community Board for any general folding conversation.

4 minutes and 8 seconds to go to finish a CPU WU so I can shut fold7 down and boot into Linux

Well I see no point in staying on the event with the amount of higher end system getting WU's im pretty sure team LTT has crushed the folding@home server system with amount of server reboots in the last 3 Days and 6 server not out putting work at this time

03.31.20 382,322 12
03.30.20 296,336 15
03.29.20 779,005 25
03.28.20 641,199 30
03.27.20 1,049,819 41

Systems setting idle waiting on work Day one i got 41 Day for 4 i  get 12 the system seems broke

I'm going to switch back to rosetta@home covid-19 project the system they have seems much better then folding ltt should have know this

so i would like to know the setting to put in for a better chance at getting work units, setting and waiting to hit pause and start folding on 5 systems is not practical

I mean it will run at those temps but it's starting to down-clock more so you might as well power-limit it to run cooler.

Quick fix is to remove the side panel usually

Front panel opened, top panel off, side panel off too :)

The top card is just starved for air, but itll have a new home in the AM so all good

I take full responsibility for...  both diversions, actually lol.

For some reason my 3600 is just not getting WUs.

R5 3600, 5700 XT, AX370 K7...  and that's plenty for me.  If you ignore the masses of other parts I occasionally put together and laugh about.

Well I forgot how dumb the slot configuration is in this system.  The two full length PCIe slots are adjacent to one another.  Because clearly people still wanted 3 PCI slots in 2014 haha.  I may just find a PCIe extension and try and finagle that into the slot hiding under the Frontier Edition.

image.jpg

Edit: I bought this thing for ease of Hackintoshing and price at the time.  $200 for a i7-3700 and 8GB RAM seemed like a screaming deal two years ago.  It's an HP 8300 CMT.

So the nVidia card was already in the top slot.  Threw the AMD card in, but the system didn’t see the nVidia card anymore.  Probably need to tweak the BIOS maybe.

Ran out of PCIe lanes maybe?

Well, I`m not even in the event but is a good project for a good cause I say, I ran Roseta@home in one of my machines and I suppose what once seti@home is truly done that place is going to be filled with folding instead of new astronomy projects.

I think they are working really hard to get the servers up and running. They got help from Oracle, LTT ect.. But it dosn´t seem to be so easy...

The delivery is down again...today I saw up to 125k per hour
