wow, 43W no-load. And I though the RTX Hybrids were bad at 12-14W

@GOTSpectrum Day 2 of the event and the little 980Ti has not gotten "fold feet" and is currently chugging away   This is my partner's old gaming rig, doesn't see nearly as much action as it did when it was the primary rig, so I figure it's happy to get busy.

nvidia-smi -i <GPU_ID> -l 1 --format=csv,noheader --query-gpu=temperature.gpu,power.draw,clocks.current.sm,fan.speed

It's pulling it from nvidia-ml-py, which I believe actually pulls it from nvidia-smi.  It's a python lib.

I guess because it can be power-intensive and there is the fear of hardware failure?

 

I am well-insulated from that, I suppose, both because this is a mostly-retired rig and because I was feeling a desperate need to do SOMETHING while cooped up at home.

Shutting down systems to swap guts to free up my Gigabyte x370 Gaming K7 and a Define S2 for the 5700XTs

 

Had to first shut down my KVM server to steal it's HD7970 for graphic o/p so I can get OSes installed on the new system before the GPUs arrive. Then shutdown two other systems to re-arrange motherboards and cases.

well its getting quiet here ATT decided my block didnt need internet...i have my main rig and laptop teathered so i can keep the big bad beast running.  the rest are winding down but will survive lol ATT estimates return of service at 10PM  I cant wait for starlink and i can rid my self of these carriers that dont maitain their equipment properly

You can try GPU-Z from techpowerup. That's atleast what I'm using to monitor load amongst other things.

We need a sad face emoji added to the like, informative and funny tags. My plant is so old all I can get is 50/10 vDSL typically maxes at 35-39Mbps unless I switch to Cable which I refuse to as the incumbent here traffic shapes and doesn't play nice with Alternate providers

So, folding-statistics question in the context of the event...

 

We are seeing that F@h's statistics aren't keeping up, as general lagginess but also somewhat more specific issues such as https://foldingforum.org/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=33072&start=15#p31925. I've had some WU-credit temporarily misplaced myself, currently but also yesterday, and I believe I noticed that once those did get added today they were in the F@h statistics counted correctly as being from yesterday.

 

How does the event keep user scores? I.e., if it just subtracts the previous day's total from the current total at the time of  making the daily sheet then all's eventually well, but if it yesterday asked F@h for yesterday's statistics, today for today's and so on then it seems it's going to miss those WUs that are added to any given day's total on F@h itself later than said day due to their current overload.

 

Note; just asking out of interest; I've measly hardware folding; not going to make any top 1000 even. But I would suspect some of the competitive participants would not appreciate this

This is exactly why we do it the way you say, even if we get corrupted data like yesterday, by the end of the event all is fine for the most part

Just downloaded HWinfo and holy sh*t does it have alot of information I didn't even know my computer had that many sensors on it... also can you swear on the LTT forum or is that frowned upon? lol
