The folding at home web client is in an infinite refresh cycle for me does anyone know a fix?

If you're using Chrome to open the web client that could cause it. Try using a different browser and it should work fine.

Yeah Chrome acts strange with the Web Control. Firefox works 100% or just load up the advanced control.

Hey all, started folding today as well :) Waited really long for a passkey and then some for the first WU.

So my CPU is still doing primality testing and my GPU is folding, at least when an assignment gets through.

However, these overwhelmed servers are really a bummer especially combined with how the credits are calculated.

My WU completed in ~3:45: 105k credits, upload of an hour (300kbps used of roughly 25Mbps upload bandwith) and boom: 89k net.

First world problems I guess and a small loss in the long run/greater picture...especially since this will balance itself eventually.

Still wonder how this will influence the folding event though.

Will be an interesting balance between getting enough active days, actually getting WUs and being credited enough for it...

Anyway, go LTT_team!

Incognito mode in Chrome also works for it.

I have a general idea from my short talk with linus but I'm not sure if it's info that is meant to be shared so I'm gonna keep it zipped in this instance

Man this is pretty great.  I had tossed around the idea of mining bitcoin on my 2 systems but didn't think the time would be worth the small amount of revenue.  Happy to be a tiny cog in a massive group effort that's doing some worthwhile good!

The question is...do I now have a reason to get a second 2080ti...

El Zoido:  9900k + RTX 4090 / 32 gb 3600mHz RAM / z390 Aorus Master

The Box:  3900x + RTX 3080 /  32 gb 3000mHz RAM / B550 MSI mortar

It's probably info that's going into a video they're working on right now that we'll see by the end of the week (if I had to guess at the timeline they're looking at).

I'm just looking forward to seeing if we can blow their server out of the water as hard as we've been blowing F@H's

Looks like they have the 3rd Azure server on-line. Just paused then un-paused a couple of slots that were waiting and immediately got 2 168MB WUs that downloaded in seconds!

On topic, but about remote control of clients. I have my local clients on my LAN able to be monitored, but how would I go about setting up monitoring over a VPN to my other machines. Teamviewer is eventually going to boot me for excessive use... I have a VPN setup, just not sure how this would work exactly, I have never tried to point anything over it and am a bit of a noob with that.
