Yea, is just hard right now. The servers are being hit incredibly hard, thus why Linus is looking to open up some of his 10 GB pipe to the cause!

Really curious about how that works, gonna be a fun video!

So, i dont know what to do anymore, installed f@h new, rebooted the system, made sure all drivers are up to date, made an exception in my firewall (what shouldnt be a problem, cause i can access the files manually through my browser, and it seemed to have downloaded something).

Thank you guys, and greetings from Germany

if you browser you copy "http://cores.foldingathome.org/v7/win/64bit/avx/Core_a7.fah" can you download the file?

I just tested and I could...

booting up some old and new laptops I had laying around... tied them to one workstation for remote control. I'm just here to fight this, not for the keys or anything else (though i'd be happy if I did win anything) as long as we find a cure or a means to stop this disease, is my ultimate goal for now.

Being under Quarantine for the next 10 days is going to be... slow...

Just ran a job and seems to have ended.  Now nothing.  That normal or are there bottlenecks in receiving jobs due to the high traffic?

The traffic is very high right now. It's normal to be doing nothing after one job is done. My i3-4130 PC finished one an hour ago, and was idling for around 30 mins before it received a new job.

Just ran a job and seems to have ended.  Now nothing.  That normal or are there bottlenecks in receiving jobs due to the high traffic?

Servers are overloaded, yeah. Been waiting about an hour, hour and a half for one, cant even get a server now.

I know folks who have been waiting since thursday.... Just give it time, they are working on getting the WU's created and servers for WU's up and running as priority, they will get to the passkey and stats servers after :)

CC affects PPD much more, but lowering your memory speed can affect PPD, if you are a real enthusiast, I recommend you to OC CC as far as possible, then pull it back by two decrements (usually around 20-30 CC) and put your memory clock on stock or somewhere between +50 and +200. That is however for newer cards and usually Nvidia.

For AMD side, you really gotta be careful with that CC as a little bit too much of it can cause a heck of a lot of problems. My RX580 8gb ran at something about 1450CC if I remember correctly, but pushing it to 1500 CC would cause it to drop WUs from time to time.

1500 is a no-go, under furmark the VRM got pretty hot and the card was pulling some insane wattage numbers. I know furmark isn't realistic but it is the possible worst case that could happen thermally. The highest stable I was able to get it was around 1480 but I needed to push volts up higher and the drop in efficiency along with the noise just wasn't worth it. I'll hang with 1400 at 1125 for now and leave the memory alone. All day long at stock memory speeds/volts it's thrown two memory errors which is acceptable since it's ECC memory. I expect to have my Vega 56 rig, Foldy Puff Sr up and running this evening now that I'm almost done lapping the IHS and heatsink base.
