Ryzen 3600 with 1660ti? Good combo?

I'm having issues with my current PC I have i5 7400 with Nvidia 1660TI 6GB MSI. My frames keeps dropping when I play some games. Someone told me that I'm getting bottlenecked. So I'm thinking of upgrading to Ryzen 3600 with a new motherboard ( Gigabyte AMD B450M DS3H Ultra Durable RGB Motherboard)

is this upgrade good or I'm going to have the same issues?

um..... no. thats just them using bottlenecking in the wrong way. which leads to people being unreasonably scared of bottlenecking. as bottlenecking on describes when one component is being held back by the other. which is something every system experiences.

what you are experiencing in all likelyhood is the lack of threads causing frametime issues. battlefield among other newer titles have this issue with non-ht quadcores. getting a 3600 would solve that issue.

(you could call it bottlenecking, but that would missrepresent the problem somewhat)

what you are experiencing in all likelyhood is the lack of threads causing frametime issues. battlefield among other newer titles have this issue with non-ht quadcores. getting a 3600 would solve that issue.

How about this motherboard? Asus TUF B450M-Plus Gaming mATX Motherboard, because my local store don't sell ASrock and I can't order online.

Even if you have to stick with Asus, get the TUF Pro or B450-E
