Project Mosa - Give Advices

Hello community,

I am building this setup for gaming competitive games, streaming, watching films and listening fav musics. My main need is to have maximum fps for 240hz Monitor in 1080p resolution. Also, data processing will be one of the main thing for this build to do. That's why I chose ryzen 9 over i9 9900k, I hope PCIe 4.0 will do much better.

I want to hear your advices almost for all pc parts as I am not PRO at it. CPU and GPU is already bought.

I am not looking to save some money and get items with the best value. I just want to know, if there is really much better product for each of part in the same price range.

Here is my part list, I hope you will give really good advices

Looks good to me, but I dont see the point getting a soundcard when youre just going to use a Logitech headset. Also I prefer USB Dacs to soundcards.

And this is just personal preference, but I dont like the G903. I think the G Pro Wireless is much better and can also be used with Powerplay ^^

Additionally I have never seen a Gigabyte AIO so I cant say much about that

If you peel away all the fancy stuff you can probably fit a Threadripper 3rd gen in the budget, if not just a 3950X

Thank you. To be honest, sound is the main issue for me, as I am not really good at it. I wanted to get Aorus Ultra instead of Aorus Master, but the reason why I chose Aorus Master was it's audio drivers.

So, this sound card won't improve my performance? I mean, that sound card, won't give me the special advantage over the normal headset to motherboard connection? and what's the main difference between USB Dacs and Soundcards?

It will improve the audio quite a bit!

But if youre just using a headset I dont think you will notice that big a difference.

Maybe go for high end headphones + modmic instead of a headset. :)

yeah, just in general, a lot of premium stuff that does not really benefit pure performance. Cant really judge aesthetics, my standards there is way down.

Could be an RGB LED control mess though, I'm not sure if Asus Aura can control TT RGB systems but it cant control gigabyte ones for sure

oh ok, understood now. Yeah, modmic can be arranged and it's a good choice, can you recommend me any high end headphones for mostly the best gaming performance which will use this sound card's resource maximally?

My opinion is that sound cards are useless nowadays since most high end motherboard comes with really good audio drivers. So unless you're an audiophile or golden hear, you won't see a difference.

Talking about aesthetics, what software will you use to control the LEDs? Asus and Gigabyte use different ecosystems AFAIK

Good point OP should change CPU cooler and motherboard to an asus AURA one since he already has the GPU. The flagship asus boards are still really good.

I use the Sennheiser HD58X Jubilees and really love them.

They excell most at music listening, but gaming is also really good.

They are the best headphones Ive ever listened to. Combined with my Fiio K3 and enabled bass boost, which is only a slight bump in the low end, I could listen to them all day.

dont buy two 1tb nvme drives, buy a single 2tb drive. You will regret filling your m.2 slots.

that 970 Evo m2 is the thing I will have to move from 1 mother to another, for some kind of shared data, that's why I took 1TB SSD for my usage gigabyte one and another 1TB for shared usage.

I wanted to use asus ryujin or whatever it called, but the point for declining getting Crosshair HERO motherboard was that it had 2 m2 slots and aorus master had 3, and the price for Crosshair Formula was much higher, i don't know now, but I hope that won't be a big problem that GPU will have another rgb controller soft and mother, cpu cooler will have another...

Get the formula cos if you're trying to save money then you shouldnt be building like this.

Formula has pretty much choked VRM cooling, sure it doesnt need much in the first place but still
