Just won bidding for a gtx 1060 6gb on ebay for 60$ on accident, have like 200 bucks left, I needa build a pc. Anyone that knows any good deals please lol. I honestly don't know what to do anymore. Need some advice on what parts to get. Anything helps <3.

Begging is not allowed.

 

Look at your used market, watch r/hardwareswap on reddit. If you get 100 posts on here you can use the forum classifieds.

r/buildapcsales is a good place to find sales on hardware.

 

For 200 buy a used dell optiplex or something of the like.

Won't the cpu in the optiplex get bottlenecked?

Any full system you buy at 200$ will probably bottleneck.

Look for an old LGA 2011 workstation on ebay and upgrade the CPU if needed.

Uhhhhhh...that's actually a really good price on a 1060, if you're in the US on USD. I just sold my old one for $130 a few weeks back, so, yeah. Ya did good there.

 

$200 basically condemns you to the land of used workstations. Make sure that whichever one you buy has a PSU with an extra 6-pin PCI-E connector, or the ability to easily replace said PSU. And, of course, make sure it has enough room to fit your 1060. Which, still, damn, that's a deal. Are you sure it isn't broken and/or a Chinese fake?

Aerocool DS are the best fans you've never tried.

yeah oztalks hardware did a build with a cheaper PSU and no ram upgrade for 200$.

Why? They just bought a GTX 1060 6GB, which outperforms the RX 470 anyway.

Look for a HP Z workstation or a Dell Precision T5500. They can take some monster CPU's for the price and ECC memory is dirt cheap. I have dual Zeon x5670's, 12 core and 24 thread with a memory capacity of over 300GB. That kind of system should be well within $200 :)

I frequently see used systems in working order for $200ish on the Facebook marketplace or Offerup.

Most have like a locked 4th gen i5 or an A10 / FX 6300 or somesuch in there, but frankly for the price, that will get you gaming with your 1060.

you'll need an LGA 2011 motherboard for that CPU, which most manufacturers don't make anymore.
