Is it worth to get an nvme or should I get a SATA and get more storage for slightly less performance

Depends on what you are using the drive for. If all you do is game, then get a higher capacity SATA SSD so your whole library fits on the fast storage. If you have other high intensity disk IO use cases, then maybe NVMe is better to maximize the efficiency of your time.

Wasn't this just a recent LTT video?  Well not precisely this question, but didn't the conclusion of the video point to the SATA SSD feeling faster than the NVMe drvies?

I would always choose an NVMe since you can still get more than 500 GB with <150 dollars

I misread titles/posts way too often--correct me if I don't.
