Compared to any of my CPU, this was by far the easiest OC and I honestly don't think I pushed to its limits yet.

I used custom water loop with ice in it.

 

I will try to push 5.5GHz if anyone tops that frequency.

If they all OC well, it'll be real interesting to see how they are against the newest gen Ryzen stuff.

Raw performance will still be worse.

 

But honestly, decade of optimization, compatibility and stability patch is more important than raw performance for some users.

 

I'm planning on getting a Ryzen for my office workstation and I really want to compare the two!

they get recked the 18 core is slower than the 3950x at least when both are at stock.

5.3ghz on 14nm and using 1.55v ? (1 single core??)

No, I do not think you've won any lottery here.

Yeah, I didn't realize this was the 14 core part. I was thinking in terms of gaming, where this isn't really meant for that.
