nvme installed and won’t boot

i bought i new nvme drive for my pc and when i installed it it won’t boot.

i tried changing sata ports for my other 2 drivers as well as trying to start the pc again without the nvme drive and it won’t boot.

my pc specs are 

ryzen 2700x 

16gb 3200mhz ddr4 

msi b-450 pro carbon 

gtx 1060 

1tb hard drive 

250mb nvme

500mb ssd

dont know what to do and when explain make it easy caz i’m dyslexic

WIll the PC not turn on? Or will the PC not boot from the NVME?

I build computers and networks. Fibre Optic is my only dream imaginable. 

Studying for my CompTIA A+ and my CCNA, if you have any tips, let me know please!

 

Main PC: i5 8400, Saphire RX 570 4GB, ASUS TUF Z370 PLUS Gaming, 32GB 3200MHz Patriot Viper RAM, 256GB Kingston SSD, 2TB Seagate Barracuda HDD, 550W Evga PSU.

 

Home Server: 2x Xeon e5410, 64GB DDR2 ECC

the pc is on but won’t boot but i don’t have windows or anything on nvme when i took it out again my ssd wouldn’t boot it either it just stays on

won’t boot from nvme i turned it on and is just a black screen

Did you set your nvme drive as the main boot drive in your bios? Did you install an os on the nvme?

i just put it in my system everything unplugged i can’t get into bios i don’t think

from your mainboard manual. * PCI_E2, PCI_E3, PCI_E4 and PCI_E5 slots will be unavailable when installing M.2 PCIe SSD in M2_2 slot. * SATA5 and SATA6 ports will be unavailable when installing a M.2 device in M2_1 slot

 

you have not listed what pcie port, m.2 port or sata ports you are using. please specify

you have not listed what pcie port, m.2 port or sata ports you are using. please specify 

i got it fixed i was using the right ports had to take the battery out from under the graphics card to reset the motherboard then it worked but thanks for trying to help
