First-time Build in Singapore

Kinnaird22

Hi

I'm looking to build my first PC and provide an initial list below - comments on what I can change/get rid off appreciated! My budget is around $3,000 SGD (about $2,000 USD) for the PC itself (no peripherals) and it will be used for gaming (AAA titles) as well as some very light video editing and photoshop (or equivalent). I'd like to have the option to overclock, but that can be done later. With that in mind, the water cooler might be overkill and I wonder if that money might be better put into the GPU (2080 Super?)... By the way, will a PSU bought from the US be compatible with Singapore's 230V, 50 Hz power supply?

i meant if u only game would not 3600 already enough? like its also light editing. and you dont need X570 mobo anyway something like TOmahawk max already enough. also 16GB of ram is good. also try P1 or 660p for SSD.

there is almost no difference between 3700 and 3800. the noctua d15 is better than most water coolers

you're paying way too much on a pcie 4.0 drive that you don't likely need.

managed to get the 2080 super in, a better case and case fans an a cheaper but still excellent PSU.

Thanks for the comments!

Managed to get the case and one of the suggested power supplies from Sim Lim Square. Will be ordering the other components online shortly. With that, I'm wondering if I can simply use the stock cooler to begin with?

Of course you can! Just run stock settings and you'll be completely fine.
