What PSU is it? 850W is enough for two 2080Tis in SLI, it's more than enough for your system.

Laptop: 2018 Apple MacBook Pro 13"  --  i5-8259U | 8GB LPDDR3 | 512GB NVMe

Peripherals: Leopold FC660C w/ Topre Silent 45g | Logitech MX Master 3 & Razer Basilisk X HyperSpeed | HIFIMAN HE400se & iFi ZEN DAC | Audio-Technica AT2020USB+

Yep, shouldn't be an issue at all! 850 is plenty! :D

Current desktop: (Optiplex 9020 MT)

CPU: i7-4790 | GPU: Gigabyte GTX970 ITX | PSU: EVGA BT 450W Bronze | Ram: 2x8gb DDR3 1600MHz

The build: https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/1158091-optiplex-9020-mt-project-build-i7-4790-gtx-970

Future plans:

  • i7-4790k
  • Z97 motherboard (really want a ASUS ROG Maximus VII Formula Watch Dogs Z97 ATX motherboard)
  • + 2x8gb ram (for a total of 32gb)
  • Better gpu

It depends much more on which PSU model specifically, it's quality and performance, rather on what wattage it is. You'll be good with 650W unit here if it's good enough, even 550W if you don't care about noise (some 550W units might be loud at peak wattage your system will draw). So, what PSU it is ?

What psu is it exactly? There are quite a few bad 850w units out there which will be an issue.

My 8700k @5ghz amd 2080 @2050mhz pulls 380-450 watts, just as a datapoint for you.

An overclocked 9900k and 2080 ti will likely pull maybe 500-520ish. 850 watt is PLENTY :)

It's ... meh. I'd recommend to return it if you can, if not, it's not exactly very bad unit performance-wise, just bad value and it might whine with this GPU. If you're in US i'd recommend Bitfenix Whisper 750W.
