Only half of Corsair RGB Hub ports working

lerodemmy

I’m almost done building my new PC, but I cannot get all of the fans to light up.  There are six, and none of them will light up if plugged into ports 4, 5 or 6 on the Corsair RGB Fan Hub.  Ports 1, 2 and 3 seem to work fine.

Here’s what’s really weird... I’m having this problem with the RGB Hub that came with the case, but I’m also having it with the RGB Hub I bought for my previous PC, which was correctly providing lighting effects to five fans.  It seems unlikely that both Hubs would be defective, especially when one working just yesterday.

EDIT:

I actually didn’t have five fans connected to the RGB Hub in my previous case.  Two of them were the fans on my Corsair Platinum SE cooler, which were connected to the AIO’s RGB ports.  So I only had three fans connected to the RGB Hub.

Now I’ve connected the new PC’s cooler’s fans to its own ports and they light up correctly.  So this means I have five of six fans lighting up properly.  But it still seems that ports 4, 5 and 6 are dead on both of my RGB Hubs and I don’t know how to light the last fan.

Sorry about the convoluted explanation.

Sorry about the convoluted explanation.

you have to have ports filled form 1 to 6 if you have 6 fans and say 1-5 with 5 fans not skipping say 2 or something. and all fans have to be the same. if you have done that that the hub could be faulty so could try and get one from corsair if not you have to buy a hub.
