Memory for Ryzen R9 3900X

Ok, so i need some help here... I got a R9 3900X and a X570 board on order to retire my 7700K. And i need more ram (i do alot of photoshop with very very high res images, and my Photoshop program keeps complaining all the memory is used up), i currently have 16 gb ram with the 7700K that got 3000mhz speed (easly stabile OC`d to 3466Mhz) with CL15 timing (i think saying timing is correct right?), its the Crucial Ballistix Tactical DDR4 16GB kit 8 i plan to not keep that kit, but sell it with the 7700K and Z270 board). i wanna buy a 32gb kit (that hopefully also has RGB, like trident Z or some), thats around 3200mhz and OC it to whatever it can go to, (hopefully 3600mhz or some around there). How much does timing matter? Should i go CL14 or CL16? I also see a CL18 option... But i feel like thats not good at all...?

Thanks for all the answers guys.

Trident Z NEO at 3600 mhz should do, and try to get CAS latency at 16 or lower. Your current ram should still do a good job, though. Trident Z NEO plays nice with AMD chips (obviously, becuase it is optimized for AMD) and should nicely compliment the 3900x. A RAM module’s CAS (Column Address Strobe or Signal) latency is how many clock cycles in it takes for the RAM module to access a specific set of data in one of its columns. The lower you go, the faster the response, so if you play competitivley enough that at most a fraction of a second will affect you, go lower, or else 16 is totally fine- just don't go over 18-ish and you should be totally good.

I am NOT a professional and a lot of the time what I'm saying is based on limited knowledge and experience. I'm going to be incorrect at times.

Depends on budget. Timings do not matter nearly as much as frequency, so imo favour as much capacity with 3600MHz first, then consider lowest timings.

RGB is an expensive thing if it's on a RAM stick btw, so be aware.

Okay, thanks for the answers, i feel like i want RGB ram atleast (like, only things i plan to have RGB in the PC is the ram, CPU cooler and GPU, no led strip or anything like that). So it would look quite good. It would also be the first time i actually spend money on RGB ram lol...

And okay, cause what i have read... Is that CL14 3200mhz ram, can be compared to CL16 3600mhz ram? Is that correct? I feel like thats a bold statement... Is it a bold statement or not?

I dont really do competitive gaming, mostly what i game is FH4, GTA 5 (like FiveM/OCRP) and games like that... So i wont need any stupid fast timed ram lol, even tho i want high frequency.

I also really wanna get a kit of 4 just to fill up the empty ram slots (pure aesthetics). It isnt any performance benefit from that right? Aslong as its dual channel there is no benefits?

I found these that i kinda wanted..

Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO DDR4 3200MHz 32GB (2x16gb sticks) https://www.komplett.no/product/1133600/datautstyr/pc-komponenter/minnebrikker/corsair-vengeance-rgb-pro-ddr4-3200mhz-32gb

or

G.Skill Trident Z Neo DDR4 RGB 32GB 3200Mhz (4x8gb sticks) https://www.komplett.no/product/1135609/datautstyr/pc-komponenter/minnebrikker/gskill-trident-z-neo-ddr4-rgb-32gb-3200mhz

Im leaning towards the 4x8gb trident Z cause of the look... Even tho theyre 50 USD more than the vengeance, and i also know maybe i should keep 2 ram slots open in case i want to upgrade to 64gb some time in the future. So the Vengeance does seem like the way to go?  I know ill get 50 USD off their total price in the cart aswell, price will go down from 2129NOK (roughly 230USD) to 1779NOK (roughly 180 USD). But then again, the 2700NOK (280USD) Trident Z ram i will also get a 50USD discount on so it costs 2250NOK (230USD).

I also dont wanna get ram i know my MB cant handle, the MB i chose to go with was the ASUS TUF Gaming X570-Plus, S-AM4

what should i choose based on what i listed here? Both are good looking ram aswell... And perform the same..

I have a 3900X + X570 Aorus Xtreme mobo with XPG Spectrix 4x 8GB DDR4 3200CL16 RAM with XMP enabled. No issue at all though I don't believe I've hit 13GB max, let alone 32GB.....,,,,you're right on insisting on RGB because, as everyone knows, RGB makes everythings go so much faster!??

Yea, of course RGB increases performance, everyone knows that lol. I mostly just want it because i like the stealth RGB look, i dont want the whole case to light up like a Christmas tree, just like... some parts like the "Nvidia RTX" text on my 2070 super, the corsair logo on my H60 and the ram.

And i easily use up over 15gb lol, high res photoshop really eats memory lol...
