That.

I have an SSD connected to an external USB 3.0. When I close my laptop to make it go to sleep most of the time I do not unplug or turn off the external SSD. When I wake up the external SSD's case feels warm. Is this bad for the SSD or is it just simply fine and accumulating "Time on Hours" and draining laptop battery in the process.
