My Internal 1 TB keeps disconnecting and reconnecting when ever in use

Potatoe master 420

Hey guys so i've had this one terabyte HDD, and ever since i installed a fairly broken Second hand GTX 1080 Ti that my friend lent me my hard drive keeps disconnecting and reconnecting, ive checked my power plan and set that is never idles, ive even reinstalled windows and redone all the graphics drivers and shit but it still keeps disconnection and reconnecting only when in use tho, so if im browsing the web which is on my SSD, the same SSD that windows is on its fine but as soon as i try launch a game from the hard drive it does its thing, but downloading onto it is fine

specs
CPU: AMD Ryzen 2700x
GPU: Nvidia GTX 780 Ti
Ram: Corsair Vengeance 16gb 3200Mhz
Motherboard: Asus ROG Strix B450-F Gaming
power supply: Raidmax Cobra RX-700AC-B 700W power supply
Hard Drive: ST 1000DM003-1ER162
SSD: 112G/ ADTASU650

and the Asus GTX 1080 ti turbo is technically 3rd hand and was sold to my friend second hand and he felt that it wasn't performing to its maximum performance, and as soon as I installed the GPU I used it everything started crashing so I took it out, and now my hard drive just keeps connecting and disconnecting

check if it some drivers that needs and update, or try to reinstall them. Or like switch cabels with your other hard disk it may be a cable issue or some pins on the motherboard is bend or not properly connected.

Run Crystal Disk Info. Also check cables. Try using entirely different set of SATA and SATA power cables. Just to rule out hardware problems.
