Power supply

Hello, guys,  I have 400W PSU with only 6 PCIe power connector can  it be used to power XFX RX 570 for EGPU.

 

My Laptop specs

Toshiba c855-s5308 

Intel I5-3380M

12GB DDR3 RAM

Intel 4 HD 4000

are you planning on using an e-gpu box? if so, it should have its own power supply. if not, how were you planning on connecting the GPU to the laptop?

I will be using exp gdc dock version 8.5c mini pci version. I just want to know if the power supply will be ok

That's group regulated PSU, notice how even total power on two 12V rails ain't even close to total total power rating, and even then it's very unlikely that it's multi-rail, most likely there's some specs fuckery going on.

Short answer - no, don't use it.
