Lenovo Y530 with 2x 32GB DIMMs

Officially the Y530 only supports up to 16GB DIMMs but the i7-8750H I have supports up to 64GB of RAM, so in theory it should support 2x32GB DIMMs? Is there any reason why this wouldn't work other than it not being officially validated?

the real question is why would you need that much ram

MSI GX660 + i7 920XM @ 2.8GHz + GTX 970M + Samsung SSD 830 256GB

I mean why not...? Sometimes you don't need a reason!

If for some odd reason you need 64gb of RAM, it would probably just be easier to build a desktop. But just FYI, I have 32gb of RAM (I had that much lying around so I figured why not), and I never exceed 16gb of memory usage, even if I have a 100 chrome tabs open. You don't need so much memory.
