240hz vs 165hz G sync?

I’ve recently built a pc (Ryzen 3600/RTX 2070).  I was wondering if I should buy an ASUS 165hz 24” G-Sync compatible monitor for $300, or an Alienware 240hz Freesync monitor for $340(its refurbished so that’s why it’s cheap).  If I have an NVIDIA gpu, should I go for the 165hz g sync monitor, or opt for the very slightly more expensive 240hz monitor, without G sync?

240Hz is a bit of a gimmick, really only useful for the ultra competitive scene. 144Hz is for all intents and purposes just as good as anything higher.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

 

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

How about a 240hz gsync monitor for 200 bucks. 

Main RIg Corsair Air 540, I7 9900k, ASUS ROG Maximus XI Hero, G.Skill Ripjaws 3600 32GB, 3090FE, EVGA 1000G5, Acer Nitro XZ3 2560 x 1440@240hz 

 

Spare RIg Lian Li O11 AIR MINI, I7 4790K, Asus Maximus VI Extreme, G.Skill Ares 2400 32Gb, EVGA 1080ti, 1080sc 1070sc & 1060 SSC, EVGA 850GA, Acer KG251Q 1920x1080@240hz

You should get the 165 hz with gsync, it’s worth it.
