R9 3950x on ASUS ROG STRIX X470-I GAMING

samqixin

So I upgraded my ROG STRIX X470-I GAMING + 2700x to 3950x.

So far everything works and performance checked good.

I'm wondering:

The board has 2 m.2 slots, currently having 1 m.2 SSD installed.

The board says, when using a zen2 like 2700x with 20 pcie lanes, if you use 1 m.2 slot, it's running 16+4. But if you use 2 m.2 slots, it will run 8+4+4.

Now we know 3950x has 24 pcie lanes, so I'm wondering if the board will still run 8+4+4 when I use the second m.2 slot.

Any ideas or experience??
