Oneplus 2 Upgrade or still safe/secure to use?

Recommended Posts

Hello!

I currently own the oneplus 2 for over 5 years now and I am still super satisfied with it.

Apparently they disbanded support(?) and it seems like the last update I received was in 2017.

It runs on android 6.0.1 and Oxygen 3.6.1

Is this phone in it's current state still safe/fine to use or am I kinda forced to buy a new phone for safety reasons?

You can continue using it, especially if you take the time to install a more up-to-date custom ROM via XDA-Developers.

You can go straight to Android 10 if you want

Just don't ask anyone in this forum for help with installing custom ROMs. Ask in the appropriate XDA thread instead.

Awareness is key. Never enough, even in the face of futility. Speak the truth as if you may never get to say it again. This world is full of ugly. Change it they say. The only way is to reveal the ugly. To change the truth you must first acknowledge it. Never pretend it isn't there. Never bend the knee.
