gopro hero 7 vs dji osmo action

Hi there,

 

next week i'll go skiing, and for the past years i've used gopro to capture some stuff. This year i've been thinking about upgrading from my gopro hero 2018.

I have to choose between the hero 7 and osmo action, because the hero 8 is imo too expensive, whereas i can get either one of the other two for ~300 EUR.

I'd prefer to get the gopro because I already have some extra stuff like a battery. but i get the feeling that the dji has more value for its money. What I'm am least sure about is whether I should wait till next year, and get the hero 8 for ~350 EUR. or something.

 

The two questions I'd like to answer are:

should I get a new one (or wait till next season) and which would be best for capturing my holiday.

 

If you were in my situation, what would you do?

If you're formally an engineer, avoid responsibility. That's what senior engineers get paid for.
