I’m looking to get a gpu and I have chosen the 5700xt but I was wondering if getting two would be worth it.

If you're planning on using them for gaming, absolutely not. Crossfire (and SLI) are both essentially dead. Very few games still support it, and the performance gains when they do aren't worth the added component cost, heat output, and power consumption.

Not for Gaming.

DualGPU Gaming is dead because no one wants bad press anymore and it was never sorted to work properly as a standard.

 

Frametime spikes and dodgey frame delivery timing makes 120fps in Dualgpu feel much like slower/shifty 45fps feels in frame delivery.

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

Better get 1 more powerful GPU than 2.

For the price i think you better get a 2080ti.
