2080 Super some games capped at 30 fps

woodypride

Asus RTX 2080 Super, i7 9700k, HP Omen X 25f (1080p 240hz), 32G DDR4 RAM

Several of my games seem to be capped at 30 fps but not all. Apex Legends runs at 240 with only a few settings turned down but Hellblade Senua's Sacrifice is stuck at 30 fps no matter what. A couple other games run just fine and several others seem to be capped at 30 fps also. I'm not the most PC savvy but I've read several other forums and can't find a solution.

reset 3d settings in NCP, no change as far as I can tell. Apex Still running fine and Hellblade capped at 30 fps

Hellblade doesn't have settings for frame rate. Only texture quality and like settings.

1. Vsync off?
2. Do you use any frame limiter program like MSI Afterburner RTSS?
3. Try reboot PC

4. DDU and reinstall graphic driver as last resort.

1. Yes, as far as I can tell V Sync is off in NCP, in game and on my monitor.

2. Nothing that I'm aware of. If I have an additional software limiting my fps it could be in something I'm unaware of though. Omen Command Center, MSI Display Kit, GeForce Experience, maybe?

3. Rebooted after everything else and no change.

4. DDU? Pretend I don't know what that means please :D

It's a song, play it while you reinstalling your graphic driver.

Just kidding, it stand for Display Driver Uninstaller. https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html

It will remove almost anything related to your graphic drivers. Use it to nuke your current display driver and then reinstall with the latest one.
