New build windows won't Install

DominicNikon

Hello, I finished building a new computer and I've tried installing Windows from both a USB and muiltable DVDs and it starts the installation and then stops at 33% on getting files ready. How do I fix this issue? I've also set the drive partition to the one it requires.

I have a gigabyte aorus elite x570 and a nvme m.2 that I'm trying to install it on. Thanks in advanced

Do you have your old drive with Windows from previous build? Try to boot it - just for testing. And check if it crash, freeze or anything. It may be hardware issue.

So it may be USB drive problem then. If you still want to install system, try to use different pendrive.

You can also clone your current installation using Macrium Reflect rescue USB. Or, if your old system is on SSD, there is no point to move it to m.2 drive since there will be no real benefits. You can use faster drive as work / data drive for programs that need extra speed.
