Need help choosing case

Andrew D4

Im starting a new pc build and I'm now shopping for a case. Currently I have my eyes set on the Lian Li Lancool 2. Is that a good case or should I keep looking? Recommendations would be very helpful.

Define “good”.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

It all depends on what you are looking for. The main factors I look for when buying a case are;

1. Cable management - Is there enough space for me to organize my cables out of sight

2. Airflow - Are there enough mountings for fans/radiators for me to get good airflow to keep my components cool enough for peak operation

3. Drive space - Is there enough drive bays for my current storage, and more if I want to expand in the future

4. Looks - Is there a nice clear panel to show off my disgusting amount of RGB I have

If the case I am looking at is acceptable in all these regards, I go for it.

I'm planning on using this build plus 4 fans from idk what brand yet and maybe some led strips for lighting. Id prefer to not pay over $150 for the case but if its a really nice and well thought out case then maybe.

I am personally a fan of the Cooler Master H500 case, mainly due to it's god-tier cooling capabilities from those 200mm fans on the front: https://pcpartpicker.com/product/G766Mp/cooler-master-mastercase-h500-atx-mid-tower-case-mcm-h500-ignn-s00

200mm fans are very quiet and have high cfm.  The cost is low static pressure.  Another possible weakness is that the fans will eventually have to be replaced, which might be difficult.
