I need some Audio Help

I am very Computer savvy but can not get my head around audio at all!!

 

I want to get the most out of my nice headphones but feel i might not be with my on board audio chip. 

 

i am currently using Sennheiser x Massdrop HD 6xx headphones. 

 

any help out be awesome, I use these for editing, Gaming, and just music while i work.

A bit of a complicated step would be as follows.

 

Right Click the Volume icon on your takbar > select "Open Sound Settings" > Right Click your correct output > Select "Properties" > "Advanced" And ensure "Default Format" is on the highest setting. 

 

If you are using a specific brand PC (Such as ASUS) it may have an audio manager such as "Realtek" that auto detects your headphones. You could play with EQ settings in there to ensure a sound stage you like.

 

Other than that I can no longer offer guidance. I am not an Audiophile and have no trained ear so my basic headsets work fine for me. Sorry and hope it helps a little.
