Hi.

So my current setup for my mixer is very simple. I have my mic [Shure SM7B] going into 'Line 1' and my speaker connected to the R/L ports of 'Stereo Out'. The mixer itself is connected to my PC through USB. My issue here is that when I record [either with OBS or Audacity] both the Mic & PC audio are going into the same track rather than 2 independent tracks. As someone who records music this means I cannot record vocals on its own as the music in the background also get's recorded. This wasn't an issue for me before but somehow this has occurred and I have no idea how to separate the mic audio from the PC audio. I have attached photos of the Mixer setup & OBS to show what I mean. If anyone could help that would honestly be amazing. Thanks.

Before I even do any further troubleshooting... have you tried updating? You're using an archaic version of OBS according to your screenshots.

But, your mixer setup has always been the same?

The MG10XU's USB input records whatever is being sent to the main stereo mix.

Since you're sending the USB output to the stereo mix it's being looped back into the recording, you have to send the USB output to 'MON' (Monitor / Phones) to avoid this:

It's set up this way because it's not typically practical to use speakers and a mic at the same time as the mic will pick up the speakers anyway. I also notice you've got an adapter on one of the speaker outputs:

Probably just whatever you had on hand to make that work, but just want to make sure you don't have your headphones plugged into that or something.
