Do you use optical drives?

really?? hhmmm... should search some reviews first then before buying... though Ubuntu should work just fine right? coz that's one of the reason as well...

 

 

I used to buy physical copies as well, but most of the time the games are with Steam that I ended up downloading the game anyway...  :lol:

I can imagine that, it does annoy me in certain aspects as well... but I like the idea of digital distribution due to physical area restriction to store my library of games and so far Steam has the best solution right now when compared to Origin/Uplay/Gamestop/Playfire

 

Though, what I meant in my post is that most of the games I played is using Steam as DRM so even if I bought a digital copy it ends up going into my steam account anyway...

Rarely. Last time was when I had burn a DVD with some videos recorded at a family event so my grandparents could watch them on their DVD......Just happy we got them to buy a DVD player. VHS is beyond me at this point, I must admit.

I only got one when building my computer but for my next system i'm not going to keep the drive in there, its gonna be plug in, install, and remove in that order.

I used it to extract drivers from a dvd so I could install drivers on a PC that didn't have an optical drive. I use it to burn CD's for car rides (car doesn't have a 3.5mm jack)

Playing older games that I still have on disks (Sims 3, Simcity 2000, Simcity 4, Defense Grid, etc.) Watching movies that aren't on Netflix

 

And others things that I can't think of right now

i have one to dont get me wrong but i can se in like a mini itx build you may not need one but if you make youre own steam box it would be very useful
