Which display better to not have screen burn?

Hey all.

Having Samsung S8+ i got after a 1 and a half a screen burn.

Which display better to have on phone, and not to worry for screen burns in future?

CPU - AMD 5800X , Motherboard - ROG STRIX B550-E GAMING , Memory  - G.SKILL TridentZ Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3600 ,

GPU - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti MSI SUPRIM X 12G,  Case - 4000D AIRFLOW Tempered Glass Mid - Tower ATX Case - Black ,

Storage - Samsung 970 EvoPlus 500GB - Samsung 870 EVO 1TB + 6TB HDD,

PSU - Corsair HX1000 , Display -  ASUS TUF Gaming VG27A 165HZ + Dell 24 UltraSharp Monitor , Cooling - Noctua NH-D15 Black , 

Keyboard - Razer Stalker , Mouse - Logitec G502 Wireless , Operating System - Win 10 Pro , 

Sound - Logitech Z906 5.1 THX Surround Sound Speaker System

OLED’s have screen burn potential. Samsung phones can get it exceptionally bad from what I have seen. I have not seen issues with iPhones with OLED (Apple does a lot in software and firmware I’d assume to keep that potential limited), but any LCD wouldn’t have the issue.

What about OnePlus lines phone?

If they are OLED, I would be worried, if they are LCD they will be fine.

Well Samsung s8+ Has AMoled Display, so I guess Amoled get burns 2.

amoled = Oled.

"AM" just means Active Matrix: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Active_matrix

 

The difference has nothing to do with more or less Burn In, it's just a diferent way of adressing the Pixels.

 

 

Btw: I had a Galaxy S7 Edge, now my GF used it untill it broke recently. After 4 years or daily usage there is Zero burn in.

So yea..

 

it's never guaranteed to have burn in, just because you have an Oled screen. In Fact, usually there will be no issues with Burn In.
That wouldn't let me stop buying Oled phones^^
My GF got an IPS Xiaomi Note 8T recently, because the S7 Edge's Display broke. After i helped her move her stuff over to the new phone, it make me very clear: I will NEVER ever use a non-Oled phone again.
