Need help upgrading

This is my build so far

1080 TI

I5 8600k

8GB Ram

Z370 gaming plus

Cooler master hyper 212 evo.

 

What should i upgrade to run games smoother/higher fps

Ram. 16GB should help a bit. Though what games are you struggling with. What drive do you have?

I drop rates on Apex legends. I also have 2 monitors in total maybe that might be why?

What kind of drops are you experiencing? Ram will definitely help for sure. Are you running a single stick? If you are that would explain a lot. You are running in single channel, having memory bandwidth.

Yup just single stick lol. I go to 130-140 fps to 90-100fps randomly

Swap in another 8GB stick. Make sure the ram is installed in the correct slots, otherwise if they are in different channels it will still be single channel.  Also, dips are normal in games. Nothing you really cannot do about that.

Are you gonna do anything else on the pc apart from playing games? If not than you don’t need 32gb, better to buy higher quality 16gb instead (higher mhz, less cas)

Honestly as stated above, 32GB is not really needed. If anything, get some ram of around 3200-3600MHz 16GB kit.

I also oc to 4.5-4.6 ghz, should i buy a better cooler? or it doesnt really matter

Check the temps, if they are acceptable than don’t bother.
