Ultrawide: IPS 1080p vs. VA 1440p

Go to solution Solved by 16bit,

The LG one has a better panel type. I'd stick with that

I'm looking for an Ultrawide for my PC build that has a GTX1070. I'm stuck between the AOC CU34G2X 34" vs. LG 34GL750-B 34."

Both are 144hz, but I'm worried about the different panel technologies. I mostly play Single Story Player and some Steam Indie games with some Digital Illustration through Photoshop. Which monitor should I go for?

VA shouldn't even be on your radar since you're doing graphic work

Va is very suitable for slower paced gaming so I would definitely consider it for what you play. If you wanted to play competitive fps then I would lean towards the ips panel. Also VA has super good contrast ratios which is a good bonus.
