PC Part flipping

Hi guys

I was wondering what the best software is to use to track my profit/expenses for my pc part flipping journey

I currently use excel and its been okay so far, but there must be a better way of doing this?

If anyone cares, I have made over £1900 flipping used pc parts and phones etc since June 2019 :)

Many thanks

George

I use Google Sheets.

Poor man's Excel.  If the OP is using Excel, Sheets gives him nothing better.

There are free softwares out there like Airtable to track projects if you want to grow your business and track expenses and costs better.

Not exactly sure what you want that Excel can't do? It's pretty simple. One column for cost, one column for what you've gotten, bottom numbers give you your loss/profit. I just use OpenOffice for my spreadsheets, and I too do a bit of flipping here and there.

If you aren't using excel like it can be used, google some excel classes on youtube etc.

Excel can do almost anything.  My Xeon workstation is around just to work two diff company Excel files that are MASSIVE...the amount of calculations are quite something, and it takes up nearly 20mb (that's a huge file for excel)

Id say do more research on how to utilize this amazing program to its fullest rather than spend any money on it. Or trying other freeware that wont give you Excel experience which most companies even today run a majority of their data in Excel.

Literally any spreadsheet software. Like tracking flipping is about the simplest data you could possibly put into a spreadsheet, you need like 4 -6 columns depending how precise you wanna get

Just gonna throw in there that Excel is the greatest tool Microsoft ever created. I use it extensively for my own PC refurbishment business. You can run an entire enterprise on Excel alone

Damn, my mom did some pretty amazing shit when I was younger with Excel, but not barcode scanning ?

She made a small company selling annuities make a hell of alot more effecient with an Excel sheet that automatically sorted clientele data, and did a little python program that took that Excel data and put it into corporates database.

She quit a few years back, and one of her coworkers tried to change some esthetics she didn't like, and she broke it, my mom (not working at the company anymore) fixed the problem. Coworker broke it again, my mom fixed it. Coworker broke it again and my mom just called it quits she was very sad for a few days like she had watched her child die ?
